Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the ancient Oriental practice of placing needles in specific locations of the body to influence nerve conduction therefore influencing many aspects of the body: neuro-muscular, hormonal, and metabolic.

Acupucture is beneficial for helping to control chronic diseases not adequately controlled by western medicine, speed healing time, pain control post-operatively, and achieve general wellness through preventative medicine.

Dr. Kristina Ingram was educated with a scientific perspective into the ancient art of acupuncture. She is certified by Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians. This title is recognized by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. There are many scientific studies supporting the benificial influence these specific points can have on different areas of the body.

  Acupuncture can treat a variety of ailments such as paralysis, muscular/back pain, osteoarthritis, Intervertebral disc disease, lameness, IBD, FLUTD, dry eye, pain management during and after surgery, kidney support, mega colon, and degenerative myelopathy. She has also treated other issues such as general anxiety and storm anxiety.

There are no negative side effects of properly placed needles. The needles are very thin and very well tollerated by most animals.
