Surgery

We pride ourselves in performing a very high standard of medicine especially when it comes to soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

We place an intravenous (IV) catheter and give IV fluids in almost all surgeries to maintain IV access for medications and in case of emergency. We use an individualized multimodal anesthetic protocol depending upon your pet's needs to ensure the safest anesthesia is performed. We also give all surgical patients pain medication and most an additional anti-inflammatory agent. Pain varies between individual patient's pain thresholds, as well as what surgery was performed. We therefore evaluate each patient individually to determine if they require additional pain medications after surgery.
